Connect Slack

Last updated: August 16, 2026

Connect Slack so Nash can post notifications into your Slack channels. Unlike Microsoft Teams, Slack has no page in the portal — you connect it in two parts: first you install the Nash Notification Bot into your Slack workspace, then you add a Slack channel as a notification destination.

1. Install the Nash Notification Bot

Open the install link in your browser:

https://api.usenash.com/slack/install

Select the install button, choose the Slack workspace you want to add the bot to, and select Allow. Slack returns you to your workspace, where the Nash Notification Bot now appears. This authorizes Nash to post messages into that workspace.

Note

You install the bot once per Slack workspace. If your team uses more than one Slack workspace, install it in each one you want notifications in.

2. Find your Slack Workspace ID

Nash needs your Slack Workspace ID (also called the team ID) to know which workspace to deliver to. To find it:

  1. In Slack, select your workspace name in the top-left corner.
  2. From the menu, open your workspace in the browser (or copy the workspace URL).
  3. The URL looks like https://app.slack.com/client/T0XXXXXXX/C0XXXXXXX. The value that starts with T — for example T0XXXXXXX — is your Workspace ID.

Copy that T… value; you'll paste it in the next step.

3. Add Slack as a notification destination

The channel itself is set up in Customer notifications, alongside your other destinations. Add a Slack channel, enter the Slack channel and your Slack Workspace ID, then use Test to confirm a message reaches the channel. For the full walkthrough, see manage notification destinations.

Once you save, notifications configured to use that destination start flowing into your Slack channel.

Note

Leave Slack Workspace ID blank only if the channel is a shared Slack channel already connected to Nash's own workspace. For your own workspace, always include the T… Workspace ID from step 2.
