Manually Reassigning a Delivery
Manually Reassigning a Delivery
Updated over a week ago

If a provider is taking too long to assign a driver, you can reassign to another provider manually.

Note: Manually reassigning a delivery will disable some of the features of dispatch strategies, such as reassignment on failure, or reassignment on pickup or dropoff time. You should continue to monitor this delivery.

Prior to manually reassigning, you should cancel any task stuck in "not assigned driver" to prevent it from being assigned. This will also prevent multiple drivers from being sent for your order.

To reassign a delivery in Nash:

  1. From the delivery details page, click Reassign on the top right corner.

  2. The next window will show you the assignments and reassignments on this delivery. Select which task you'd like to reassign, and click Reassign:

3. Be sure to select a provider from the list to the left to dispatch your delivery!

If Nash indicates that a delivery cannot be manually reassigned - if it is too close to pickup time or the delivery timeline has advanced beyond Assigned Driver status - you will have to cancel the delivery and duplicate it from the dashboard to submit it as a new delivery. Please double-check that all reassignments are canceled on the original delivery before doing this.
