A Driver Is Taking Too Long To Be Assigned
Updated over a week ago

If the status of your delivery is stuck in "Created" for longer than you would like, there are several different courses of action you can take.

Note: You can set up auto-reassign using dispatch strategies so that if your delivery is stuck in "Created" status for longer than the time you specify, then the delivery will automatically reassign to the next available provider you have specified in your dispatch strategy. See this article on Understanding Dispatch Strategies.

Reach out directly to the delivery provider

For deliveries where the driver information is available, you can typically reach out to those drivers directly, or to their support staff for information.

For more information on contacting drivers for Uber or DoorDash, see the information in our article How do I contact a driver?

Reassign the delivery to a different provider manually

From the delivery details page, click on the "Reassign" button on the top right corner.

The next message confirms if you want to reassign:

Once you select "Yes, create new delivery," a second task will show on the job screen. From here, you can select the provider you want to choose. (Note: screenshot is only for informational purposes; prices and providers are different for each account.)

When you have chosen a provider, the status in the timeline view will change to "Created," and that provider is sent the request to try and find a driver for your delivery.
