DoorDash Won’t Let Me Cancel In Nash - What Now?
Updated over a week ago

Sometimes, when trying to cancel a task assigned to DoorDash via the Portal, you might encounter an error message indicating “Something went wrong.” This issue arises when the delivery timeline has progressed beyond the point where DoorDash allows cancelations. In such instances, getting in touch with DoorDash's support team will be your best bet to resolve the issue.

Follow the steps below to connect with DoorDash Support effectively:

Find Your Delivery ID:

Before making the call, locate the Provider Delivery ID for the order you want to cancel. You can usually find it on the delivery details page.

Find The Correct DoorDash Support Phone Number

DoorDash has different support numbers based on your location, and the particular DoorDash account used. Within Nash, you can hover over the ℹ️button beside Customer Support on the delivery details page to find the correct Support phone number for your DoorDash delivery:

Interactive Voice Response (IVR) Instructions:

Upon calling, you'll encounter an IVR system that DoorDash uses to make sure customers are routed to the appropriate place. Don't worry; it's easy to navigate! Here's a quick guide:

  • Press 1 for English.

  • Press 4 for Doordash White label Merchant.

  • Press 1 for Resto Merchant support.

  • Press 1 for (Catering Order) / Press 2 for non-catering order.

After following the IVR instructions, hold on until you get connected to a customer support representative. Once connected, share your delivery ID and explain the reason for canceling the order. The support representative will take care of the rest, ensuring your order is canceled.

Note: If you’re using a dispatch strategy where auto-reassign on failure is enabled, you’ll need to cancel the reassignment once DoorDash cancels the original delivery. This will show as a separate task with the Created status on the delivery.
