Setting up Driver Groups

Last updated: August 6, 2026

The Fleet section is essential to ensuring your deliveries are completed efficiently and effectively.  Proper setup will ensure your operations run with minimal manual intervention.

What is a Driver Group?

Driver Groups allow you to group and allocate your drivers to specific carriers and stores. You can have any number of Driver Groups, and your drivers can be members of one or more Driver Groups.

Create a Driver Group

Walmart has specific settings that need to be maintained across driver groups. For this reason, when you need to create a new driver group, you should DUPLICATE the template driver group that has been created for you.

Open the Driver Group named "Template"

Click Duplicate in the top right corner

We recommend naming the driver group with the carrier name and Walmart store number. This will make management of the driver group and the carrier easier in other sections.

Example: ABC Carrier - Walmart 1234

Click Duplicate

Open the Driver Group you created to view additional settings.

Go to Features tab and update the pickup eligibility to the zip code of the store location.

SAVE

Additional Driver Group settings

In the Features tab, you can update how routes are dispatched to drivers in the Driver Assignment section.

Publish Deliveries to Drivers - When ON, eligible drivers will see available routes in their app and can accept them. When OFF, a dispatcher will need to manually assign the route to a driver.

Max deliveries per period - Not used for your purposes. Please leave empty.

Max radius - can be set so only drivers with X miles of the store will show the route available in their app. We recommend leaving empty.

All other settings within the driver group should be left as configured.

Adding Drivers to Driver Group

In the Drivers tab, you can bulk add drivers to the driver group.

Click +Add Drivers

Select all drivers to add to the driver group.
