Fix an order that needs attention

Last updated: August 16, 2026

Once you know an order is stuck in Needs Attention, here's how to fix it so it can move forward.

Open the order

From the Needs Attention tab, select the order's row to open it in its drawer.

Find what's wrong

Look at the drawer's tabs — Pickup, Dropoff, and Delivery Details. Any tab with a problem shows a red instead of a green checkmark. Open that tab and you'll find an inline error on the specific field that needs fixing.

Correct the flagged field. If you're not sure what a field is for, see create an order manually for what each one means.

Save

Choose Save. Nash re-checks the order automatically when you save — there's no separate "revalidate" step to run first.

One thing worth knowing: Save goes through even if a field is still showing red. Nash makes the final call on your saved changes, not the form in front of you, so it won't block you from saving. After you save, check the tabs again to confirm the ✗ badges are actually gone — if one's still there, that field still needs work.

How you know it worked

The confirmation message you get after saving is generic — it doesn't tell you whether the order is actually fixed. The real signal is the order itself: once it passes validation, it leaves Needs Attention and appears under Ready to Dispatch. If you save and the order is still sitting in Needs Attention, something's still wrong with it.

When you can't fix it yourself

Some orders show a Warnings tab instead of — or alongside — a flagged field. This means Nash hit a problem it can't map to something you can edit in the drawer. There's no field to correct here, so don't go looking for one. Follow what the screen tells you: contact your technical team, or reach out to Nash support.

If you don't need the order

Not every order in Needs Attention is worth fixing. If you don't need it anymore, archive it instead — that clears it out without requiring a fix.
