Refund Eligibility

Last updated: December 9, 2024

While Nash users may qualify for refunds under certain circumstances, not all incidents automatically merit reimbursement. This guide explains when refunds might be approved and how to increase your chances of a successful request.

Situations Eligible for Refunds

Providers may grant refunds in these cases:

  1. Never Delivered:

    • Proof of Delivery (POD) is missing or unclear.

    • Driver's location data doesn't match the dropoff point.

    • Delivery status timeline shows unusual activity.

  2. Delivered to the Wrong Address:

    • Evidence from POD, driver location, and timeline suggests misdelivery.

  3. Late Delivery:

    • Some providers offer partial refunds for deliveries delayed by over 30 minutes.

  4. Wrong Items Delivered:

    • Refunds may include the package value, delivery fee, and tip if a driver mixes up orders.

Situations Likely to Result in Refund Denials

Refunds are often denied in these cases:

  1. Missing or Incorrect Items:Unless clear evidence of tampering is provided, refunds may not be issued.

  2. Insufficient Delivery Instructions:Orders left outside due to incomplete access details are considered delivered.

  3. Late Reporting:Incidents reported more than two business days after the dropoff are usually ineligible.

Tips for Successful Refund Requests

Follow these practices to improve your chances of getting a refund:

  1. Report Promptly:Submit refund requests within two business days of the dropoff.

  2. Provide Comprehensive Details:Include the order number, issue description, and other relevant details.

  3. Attach Supporting Evidence:Upload delivery receipts and photos of damage or tampered items, if applicable.

  4. Use Clear Delivery Instructions:Ensure detailed access information is provided for complex locations like apartments or offices.

  5. Securely Package Items:Properly seal all bags to prevent damage or tampering.

Understanding Provider Policies

Each delivery provider may have slightly different refund policies. If you have questions about a refund decision, contact the provider directly or reach out to the Nash Support team for assistance.

By reporting issues promptly and providing strong supporting evidence, you can enhance your refund success rate while fostering efficient resolution.
