Get started on the driver app
Last updated: August 28, 2026
Before you can see or run any work, you need the app installed, signed in, and set up. This article walks through that one-time setup: getting in, granting the permissions the app needs, telling it you're ready to work, and finding the settings you'll come back to later.
Install and sign in
Install the driver app on your phone the way your operator directed you — most drivers get it from their phone's app store using an invite from their operator.
Once it's open, sign in with either your email or your phone number. Either way, you don't need a password: enter your email or number, and the app sends you a one-time code to type in. That code signs you in.
Grant the app permissions it needs
The first time you sign in, the app asks for a few permissions on your phone: location, camera, and notifications. Location lets the app track where you are relative to your stops, the camera lets you capture proof of delivery, and notifications let it alert you when new work comes in.
These are permissions your phone asks for — not a role or access level inside the app itself. There's no separate screen for driver roles or permission levels; every signed-in driver sees the same app, and what differs is only which device permissions you've granted and what your operator has turned on for your organization.
Note
Some operators require location permission before you can use the app at all. If you're stuck on the permissions screen and can't get past it, check that location access is turned on for the app in your phone's settings.
Go Active when you're ready to work
At the top of the app is a status switch that says either Active or Inactive. Flip it to Active when you're ready to start taking on work, and back to Inactive when you're done for the day. Being Active is what tells the app — and your operator — that you're available right now; it's also what unlocks the rest of the app, since you generally can't start or complete work while you're Inactive.
Your profile, vehicle, and preferences
From Settings, you can review and update:
- Your profile — your name and preferred language.
- Your vehicle details — type, year, make, model, plate, and color.
- Your default maps app — pick the app you want used whenever you navigate to a stop, or choose to be asked each time instead.
View your order history
Also in Settings, order history shows the deliveries you've already completed, so you can look back at past work.
Switch organization
If you drive for more than one operator, you don't need separate logins. From Settings, you can switch organization to move between the operators you drive for, and the app shows only the work assigned to you under whichever one you're currently switched into.
With sign-in, permissions, and your profile in place, you're ready to see and accept work — covered next in Accept and start your work.
