Set up Driver Payment Rules

Driver Payment Rules determine compensation for deliveries within each Driver Group. Each group can only be assigned a single payment rule, though payment rules can apply to multiple groups.

Driver Payment Rules are optional, but are a good resource to display to the driver how much they will be making on a delivery, and can track their total income in the app.

Create your first payment rule

  1. Go to Fleet > Driver Pay menu

  2. Click + New Payment Rule button

  3. Name the rule something that will be familiar to you and your team

  4. Select the Driver Group(s) the Payment Rule will apply to

  5. Update the currency, if needed

  6. Select Contract

  7. Choose as the types of payment calculations you want to use. You can choose one or more. If more than one is selected, choose whether to use the maximum value, minimum value, or sum of values of each one selected.

    1. Flat Fee - A single base fee to apply to all deliveries

    2. Order Value Based - determine rate based on the value of the delivery

    3. Duration Based - determine rate based on expected delivery completion time

    4. Distance Based - determine rate based on total distance of the delivery

  8. Add any additional fees to pay the driver (optional)

    1. Toll Fee

    2. Wait Fee

    3. Cancellation Fee

    4. Return Fee

    5. Insurance Fee

  9. Click Create Rule
