Create a Driver Group

Driver Groups allow you to organize drivers by specific criteria like location, vehicle type, or merchant assignments. This organization streamlines dispatch operations and driver management.
Add your first Driver Group
Go to
Fleet > Driver GroupsmenuSelect + Create
Configure the Driver Group
Enter a descriptive name that reflects the group's purpose: • City or state coverage • Delivery vertical • Specific merchant • High-value orders • Vehicle type
Complete each field, if necessary. Most of the time, the remaining fields will not need to be updated.
Select Add Driver Group
Update Driver Group Settings
Open the newly created Driver Group to access the settings
General tab - Update the Name, External ID, and Customer Support phone number.
Drivers tab - See the list of drivers assigned to the Driver Group. Add and remove drivers to the group
Features tab - setup the eligibility and requirements for the Driver Group, and turn on Driver Assignment (more details below)
Optimization tab - configure the optimization parameters used when optimizing in Orders
Features > Driver Assignment
This feature is important to update the visibility of available deliveries to your drivers.
Publish Deliveries to Drivers - when activated, drivers will see available deliveries in the
Newtab in the Driver app, and can review the delivery before accepting it.Max deliveries - set the number of deliveries drivers can fulfill per time period.
Per Hour - driver can only complete so many deliveries per hour
Per Day - driver can only complete so many deliveries per day
Unlimited - driver can have only the set number of active deliveries at one time
Max radius - set the number of miles from pickup the driver must be within to see New deliveries. If the drivers location is too far away, they will not see the available delivery. This ensures drivers will see deliveries available in their local area.
