Accept and start your work

Last updated: August 28, 2026

Once you're signed in and Active, this is how you go from "nothing on my screen" to "on my way to the first stop": see what's come in, accept or decline it, and get moving.

Active and New

Your home screen has two tabs:

  • New — work that's come in but that you haven't accepted yet.
  • Active — work you've already accepted and are currently running.

Accepting something moves it from New into Active. Depending on how your operator has things set up, what shows up here might be a full route of several stops, or an individual delivery — either way, the same accept, start, and complete rhythm applies.

Accept a timed offer

On some setups, new work arrives as an offer with a countdown timer. You'll see Accept and Decline buttons and a ring counting down — respond before it runs out. Accepting takes the work; declining sends it back so it can be offered to someone else. If you don't respond in time, the offer expires and moves on the same way a decline would.

Note

Whether you see timed offers, and whether Decline is available to you, depends on your operator's setup. Some organizations only ever assign work directly instead — see the next section.

Accept an assignment

On other setups, work is simply assigned to you rather than offered with a countdown. You'll see a single Accept button with no timer and no decline option — tap it to take the work.

Note

Whether you have to tap Accept before you can start assigned work at all depends on your operator. On some organizations, assigned work is ready to go without an extra acceptance step.

Unassign work you can't take

If something's assigned to you and you're no longer able to do it, you may be able to send it back — unassigning it so it's available to be picked up by someone else. Open the delivery and look for an unassign option in the menu.

Note

Whether you're able to unassign a delivery yourself depends on your operator's settings. If you don't see the option, contact your operator or dispatch instead.

Start your work

Once something is in your Active tab, open it and tap Start to begin. If it's a route with several stops, starting begins the whole sequence and takes you to the first one; if it's a single delivery, starting simply gets you moving toward that address.

You need to be Active to start anything — if you try while you're switched to Inactive, the app will prompt you to switch back to Active before it lets you continue.

From here, working each stop — navigating, handling what's there, and capturing proof of delivery — is covered in the articles that follow. Nash dispatches the work; you and your operator's fleet carry it out.
