Operating hours and dispatch behavior settings reference

Last updated: August 16, 2026

Every field on the Operations tab of your Organization Settings page, grouped by its section. For where the page lives and how to save, see set operating hours and dispatch behavior.

You'll need organization-management permissions to see this tab. Nash applies the final behavior for these settings — the descriptions below are what each control is intended to do.

Operating hours

Set overall and per-day operating hours, in each location's local time. Times are entered as 24-hour HH:MM.

Setting Options (default) What it does / when to change
Opening HH:MM When your organization starts operating for the day. Set on the Default row and on any day override.
Closing HH:MM When your organization stops operating for the day.
Pickup cutoff HH:MM (defaults to Closing if blank) The latest allowed pickup time. Leave it blank to stop pickups at closing time; set it earlier to stop pickups before you close.

Day override states

The Default row applies to every day unless a day is overridden. Each day can be overridden at most once, and each override takes one of two states:

State What it does
Custom hours That day uses its own Opening, Closing, and Pickup cutoff instead of the default.
Closed That day is marked closed; the time fields are turned off for it.

After-hours dispatch behavior

How dispatch and reassignment behave once you're past the pickup cutoff.

Setting Options (default) What it does / when to change
Initial dispatch Allow (default) / Reschedule Allow dispatches as usual, even after the pickup cutoff. Reschedule dispatches but moves the pickup to the next open day. There is no Prevent option for initial dispatch.
Reassignment Allow (default) / Prevent / Reschedule Allow reassigns as usual. Prevent blocks reassignments after the pickup cutoff. Reschedule reassigns but moves the pickup to the next open day.
On-time baseline Off (default) / On When on, on-time is calculated from the rescheduled pickup time; when off, from the original time. Only active when Initial dispatch or Reassignment is set to Reschedule — otherwise it stays disabled.

Prevent and rollover

If rollover is enabled for your organization, Reassignment can't be set to Prevent — the page flags the conflict. Rollover isn't editable on this tab. If you hit this, reach out to Nash to change the rollover setting first.
