Set operating hours and dispatch behavior

Last updated: August 16, 2026

The Operations tab of your Organization Settings page is where you set the hours your organization operates and how dispatch should behave once you're past your pickup cutoff for the day.

Find it under SettingsOrganizationOperations (/settings/organization/operations). You'll need organization-management permissions to see and edit this tab.

Note

Looking for the customer-facing delivery-window slots offered at checkout? Those are a separate feature — see delivery windows overview. This page is only about your operating hours and after-hours dispatch behavior.

Important

If the page shows a load error instead of the settings, reload before making any changes. Saving on top of settings that didn't load could overwrite them. The page blocks editing until it loads cleanly and gives you a Retry button.

Operating hours

Under Operating hours, set the overall and per-day hours your organization runs, in each location's local time. There are three time fields per row, all entered as 24-hour HH:MM:

Field What it sets
Opening When you start operating.
Closing When you stop operating.
Pickup cutoff The latest time pickups are allowed. If you leave it blank, it defaults to your closing time.

The Default row applies to every day unless you override a specific day.

To change the hours for a single day, select Add day override and pick a day from the list. Each day can be overridden once. On an override row, choose its state:

  • Custom hours — set that day's own Opening, Closing, and Pickup cutoff.
  • Closed — mark the day closed. The time fields are turned off for that day.

Remove an override with the X button on its row to send that day back to the default hours.

After-hours dispatch behavior

Under After-hours dispatch behavior, choose how dispatch and reassignment behave once you're past the pickup cutoff.

Field Options
Initial dispatch Allow — dispatch as usual, even after the pickup cutoff. Reschedule — dispatch, but move the pickup to the next open day.
Reassignment Allow — reassign as usual. Prevent — block reassignments after the pickup cutoff. Reschedule — reassign, but move the pickup to the next open day.
On-time baseline A switch that controls whether on-time is measured from the rescheduled pickup time or the original one.

Note

Initial dispatch has no Prevent option by design — only Allow and Reschedule are offered here. Reassignment offers all three.

The On-time baseline switch is only active when either Initial dispatch or Reassignment is set to Reschedule. When it's on, on-time is calculated from the rescheduled time; when off, from the original time. If neither field uses Reschedule, the switch stays disabled.

Prevent and rollover

If your organization has rollover enabled, you can't also set Reassignment to Prevent — the page will flag the conflict. Rollover isn't editable on this tab, so if you hit this, reach out to Nash to change the rollover setting first.

Save your changes

There's a single Save changes button at the bottom of the tab. It's disabled until you've changed something, and it saves the whole Operations tab at once. Nash applies the final behavior, so treat these settings as your intent for how hours and dispatch should work.
