Dispatch Strategies automate provider selection based on your operational priorities, ensuring consistent delivery assignments aligned with business goals.

Start strategy creation

1. Go to Orchestrate > Dispatch Strategies menu

2. Select + Create New Strategy

3. Enter a clear, descriptive strategy name

Configure provider selection

1. Select your Internal Fleet and any External Providers available in your account

2. Decide on a Provider Selection Strategy. Available options:

   • Manual Ranking — you set the order, and deliveries are offered to providers in the exact order you've ranked them.

   • Lowest Cost — automatically dispatches to the available provider with the lowest cost.

   • Most Reliable — automatically dispatches to the provider with the highest reliability score.

   • Weighted Distribution — splits delivery volume across your selected providers by weights you assign, so each provider gets a set share rather than one provider taking everything.

   • Dynamic — automatically picks the best provider for each delivery in real time, balancing factors like cost, reliability, and availability instead of following a single fixed rule.

3. If you're using Manual Ranking, position your fleet Driver Groups at the top so they get First Right of Refusal (ROFR) — your own fleet is offered the delivery first, and it only cascades to external providers if they decline.

Enable workflows features

1. Turn on Auto-Dispatch on Creation to automatically assign deliveries

2. Configure Auto-Reassign settings for failed assignments

3. Review all settings

4. Select Save
