Canceling a Delivery in Nash

Canceling a delivery in Nash is simple, but the process varies depending on whether a job is assigned or unassigned. Follow these steps to cancel, and review options if cancellation isn't possible.

Cancel Assigned Jobs

  • Go to the Delivery tab.

  • Locate the delivery using search or filters if necessary.

  • Select the delivery to open the details page.

  • Select Cancel delivery at the top right to start the cancellation process.

Cancel Unassigned Jobs

  • From the Delivery tab, find the delivery in the list view.

  • Select the vertical ellipsis (...) next to it.

  • Choose Cancel delivery from the dropdown menu.

Important Considerations

  • Best Time to Cancel: Cancellation is easiest before a driver is assigned.

  • Cancellation Fees:

    • If the status is Created, cancellation is free.

    • Some providers charge fees based on delivery status or time remaining before pickup.

    • Fees appear in the cancellation pop-up if applicable. If no fee is shown, cancellation is free.

  • Assigned Deliveries: You may need to contact the driver or provider directly.

  • Dispatch Strategies: If auto-reassign is active, the job may be reassigned after cancellation. Monitor closely to cancel the new task if needed.

What to Do if You Can't Cancel

  • Contact the assigned driver directly.

  • Reach out to the provider’s support team if the driver is unavailable.

  • Request manual cancellation from the driver or provider if necessary.

  • Status Display Issues: If a delivery shows an active status (like "Pickup Enroute") but the provider confirms it's canceled, contact Nash support to resolve potential display discrepancies.

Note: If the provider cancels the order, it will be marked as Canceled by Provider in the Nash portal.

Tips for Smooth Cancellation

  • Cancel Early: Avoid fees by canceling before a driver is assigned.

  • Provider Policies: Always check specific cancellation policies and fees.

  • Technical Issues: If you encounter errors (e.g., with DoorDash), contact the provider’s support team directly.
