Manually assign a delivery

Sometimes, manual assignment is necessary when automatic assignment is delayed or specific providers are required for urgent deliveries. Follow these steps:

  • Navigate to the Delivery Details Page

    • Select Deliveries from the left sidebar to view the delivery history.

    • Find the delivery and select View Details to open its page.

  • Access Assignment Options

    • Select the Reassign button in the top-right corner.

    • In the pop-up, uncheck the cancel box if you want to keep the current task active.

    • After reassignment, a new task will appear in Created status.

  • Select the Task to Assign

    • In the assignment window, select the newly created task.

  • Choose a Provider

    • Review available providers on the left, including their quotes and details.

    • Select your preferred provider.

  • Confirm the Assignment

    • Select Assign Provider at the bottom.

    • Nash will confirm the assignment with a notification.

  • Monitor the Delivery

    • The delivery details page updates with provider-specific information.

    • Track progress using the status history timeline.

Important Considerations

  • Manual assignment overrides dispatch strategies, including auto-reassignment.

  • Monitor manually assigned deliveries closely to ensure completion.

  • If reassignment fails, cancel the delivery and create a new one.

  • Reassign or refresh quotes as needed.

By manually assigning deliveries, you maintain control over provider selection, ensuring flexibility and timely management.
