Set Up Flat Rates for Local Delivery in Shopify
Last updated: April 2, 2026
If your Shopify plan doesn't include the Carrier API Service, your store won't be able to display dynamic, real-time rates from delivery providers. In that case, you can still offer local delivery by configuring flat-rate pricing directly in Shopify - giving your customers a straightforward option at checkout.
Here's how to set it up:
Step 1: Navigate to Local Delivery Settings
Log in to your Shopify Admin.
Click Settings in the bottom-left corner.
Select Shipping and Delivery.
Scroll down and click Local Delivery.
Step 2: Select Your Location
Choose the location where you want to offer local delivery, then toggle on This location offers local delivery under Location Status.
Step 3: Create Your Local Delivery Zone
Under Zone Name, enter Local Delivery.
Important: This name must be entered exactly as shown - the integration depends on it.
Define your delivery area using either postal codes or a radius around your location.
Note: Make sure your delivery radius or zip codes match exactly what's configured in your Nash portal.
Set your flat-rate delivery price.
Step 4: Save Your Changes
Click Save to finalize the setup.
Once saved, customers within your defined delivery zone will see the flat-rate local delivery option at checkout.
If you'd like to offer dynamic rates in the future, you can upgrade your Shopify plan to one that includes the Carrier API Service. See our Understanding Carrier API Service & Setting Up Nash Rates in Shopify guide for more details.
