Setting up Driver Pay

Last updated: April 3, 2026

The Driver Pay feature enables you to calculate and track driver payments for each delivery, generate detailed reports for easier payment processing, download these reports for submission to payment platforms, and display the total compensation directly in the driver's app.

This feature is not turned on by default. To activate, please contact your Nash CSM.

Setting up Driver Pay

  • In the Nash Portal menu, go to Fleet > Driver Pay

  • Click + New Payment Rule button

  • Payment Rule Name: Give the rule a name

Driver Pay Rules can be assigned to multiple Driver Groups and are not limited to a single group. When naming a driver pay rule that you intend to reuse across multiple Driver Groups, consider choosing a name that reflects its broader applicability.

  • Driver Groups: Choose the Driver Groups to apply to. You can make changes to this later and add additional Driver Groups if needed.

  • Currency: Choose the currency you will pay the drivers in

  • Payment Rules: The calculation of how drivers will get paid. More on this in the section Setting Up Payment Rules below

  • Additional Fees: Indicate all fees that will be paid to the driver, if applicable

  • Click Create Rule when finished

Setting Up Payment Rules

There are two options when setting up Payment Rules: Contract and Function

Contract

This interface provides an intuitive way to calculate driver pay based on standard delivery details. Please note that Contract Payment Rules are not applicable for Batch jobs.

Function

A Python method designed to create driver pay with enhanced flexibility. Your Nash CSM will assist you in setting up your first function-based driver pay rule, which can then be reused and modified for other rules.

Driver Pay Reports

  • In the Nash Portal menu, go to Fleet > Driver Pay

  • Click on the Reports tab

  • Change the payment period date range, if applicable

  • Filter the report by driver group, if applicable

  • Click the Download icon

  • The Driver Pay Report for the date range and filter applied will be downloaded to your computer, ready to be processed and uploaded to your payment platform.
