Track driver capabilities

The Capabilities tab on the Training page is where you keep a record of where each of your drivers stands on each skill — whether they're qualified, still working through a course, or overdue for renewal.

Note

Fleet and the Training page are gated. Availability varies by organization — if you don't see Training in the sidebar, reach out to Nash. Training doesn't appear for scoped users.

Note

This is a record you keep, not an automated pipeline. Completing a course through a shared course link doesn't write anything here on its own — you (or someone on your team) enter and update capability records manually. A capability record also doesn't gate anything: it doesn't restrict which deliveries or routes a driver can be assigned.

The Capabilities list

Open Training and switch to the Capabilities tab. Each row is one driver paired with one skill, with these columns:

  • Driver — the driver's name and email.
  • Skill — the course the row is about.
  • Category — the category you set on that course.
  • Progress — how far the driver has gotten through the course, as a percentage.
  • Status — the driver's recorded standing on this skill (see below).
  • Expires — when the record lapses based on the course's validity period, or a dash if it doesn't apply.

What the statuses mean

The Status badge reflects the record you've kept:

  • Active — the driver is currently recorded as qualified for this skill.
  • In Progress — the driver has started the course but hasn't finished.
  • Not Started — the course applies to the driver but they haven't begun.
  • Failed — the driver took the quiz and didn't reach the passing score.
  • Expired — the driver's record was active, but the validity period has lapsed and it needs to be renewed.

Filter the list

Three controls narrow what you see:

  • Search drivers or courses... — matches on driver name, email, or course name.
  • The status dropdown — All Statuses by default, or pick a single status.
  • The category dropdown — All Categories by default, or pick one category.

The summary cards

Across the top of the tab, a row of cards summarizes the current list: Total Capabilities, Active Drivers, In Progress, and Expiring Soon (records lapsing within the next 30 days). Use Expiring Soon to catch renewals before they lapse.

Where capabilities come from

The Capabilities tab shows the capability records your organization has entered for each driver — it's a manual record, not a certification pipeline. An individual driver's records are set and edited on that driver's own record, under the Capabilities sub-tab. See Add and edit a driver.
