Manage training
Last updated: August 16, 2026
Training is where you build the courses your drivers take and keep track of which drivers are qualified for which kinds of work. It opens as Training & Capabilities, with two tabs: Skills and Capabilities.
Note
Fleet and the Training page are gated, and each is turned on separately. Availability varies by organization — if you don't see Training in the sidebar, reach out to Nash. Training doesn't appear for scoped users.
The two tabs
- Skills — the courses you author. Each skill is a course made up of learning materials (videos, documents, and links) and an optional quiz, with a passing score and a validity period. This is where you create, edit, and share courses. See Create and edit a course.
- Capabilities — the roster view of where each driver stands on each skill: their status (Active, In Progress, Not Started, Failed, or Expired), how far they've progressed, and when their qualification expires. See Track driver certifications.
Think of Skills as the courses themselves and Capabilities as the record of who has completed them.
Where training fits
Training is roster setup — it defines the courses and holds the record of who's qualified. It doesn't put a driver on a delivery. Assigning a specific driver to a live delivery or route happens in your day-to-day dispatch tools:
- To assign a driver to a live delivery, see Manually assign a delivery.
- To place or sequence a driver on a route, see Edit a route.
An individual driver's qualifications also appear on that driver's own record, under the Capabilities sub-tab. See Add and edit a driver.
