Navigate the portal

Once you know your way around orders, jobs, and dispatch, this is the reference for finding things quickly: how search actually works, what's in the delivery detail drawer, why some tasks don't show up by default, and the keyboard shortcuts that save you a few clicks along the way.

Search

The search bar at the top of the dashboard is the fastest way to find a specific job — by job ID, external ID, order number, city or location, organization, or most other fields on the job. Enter a term and results filter automatically in the dashboard below.

Search only looks inside your current filter settings. If the date filter is narrowed to today, searching for an order from three weeks ago won't return it, even though it still exists. Widen the date range and any other active filters before you search, so they don't quietly hide the job you're looking for. For more on filtering and adjusting the date range, see Customize your views.

The delivery detail drawer

Selecting any delivery row on the dashboard opens a drawer from the side with the essentials, rather than a full page load:

  • Provider details

  • A map view of the route

  • Package details

  • Delivery status

  • A proof-of-delivery thumbnail, once the delivery is complete

  • Pickup and drop-off location details

  • Date and time information

  • A delivery activity timeline showing each step so far

At the top of the drawer, you can see the current status and toggle the displayed times between your computer's time zone and the delivery's own time zone.

The drawer is a quick summary, not the whole record. At the top of the drawer, select View details to open the full delivery details page with everything the drawer doesn't show.

Active vs. inactive tasks

The Orders and Deliveries dashboards show active tasks only by default. Inactive tasks are hidden until you ask for them — switch them on to review orders that couldn't be fulfilled, or to troubleshoot issues with deliveries that have already completed.

To see everything:

  1. Select the gear (settings) icon in the upper right of the dashboard.

  2. Turn off Include only active tasks in search.

  3. The dashboard refreshes to show both active and inactive tasks.

Turn the same toggle back on to return to the active-only view.

Most-advanced task vs. all tasks

An order can end up with more than one task if it's handed off to more than one provider over its life — for example, after a reassignment. The dashboard shows you the most advanced task by default; older or inactive tasks on the same order are collapsed behind it.

Look for a badge in the provider column — +1, +2, and so on — to spot an order with more than one task. Since earlier tasks on an order are often inactive, turn off Include only active tasks in search (as above) if you don't see the badge you expect.

  • Quick view — select the +# badge in the provider column to open a pop-up with every provider and task status on that order.

  • Detailed view — open the job's details page. Between the status section and the provider toggles, you'll find a tab for each task; select a tab to see the full detail for that task alone.
