Driver fields reference

Last updated: August 27, 2026

Note

Fleet and the Drivers page are gated. Availability varies by organization — if you don't see it, reach out to Nash.

This is a field-by-field reference for the Drivers page: the columns on the list and the fields in a driver's detail drawer. It doesn't cover how to add, edit, or enable/disable a driver — for that, see manage your drivers, add and edit a driver, and set driver availability and enable or disable a driver.

Drivers list columns

Column What it shows
Name The driver's name.
Email The driver's email address.
Phone Number The driver's phone number.
Vehicle The vehicle currently linked to the driver, if any.
Driver Group The driver group(s) the driver belongs to, or "No groups."
Availability Available or Unavailable — see below.
Enabled Enabled or Disabled — whether the driver is an active part of your roster. Only shown on the All tab.

A few more columns — ID, External ID, and User ID — exist but are hidden by default. Turn them on from the column picker if you need them.

Driver detail fields

Opening a driver's row shows their detail drawer, organized into tabs.

General

Field Notes
First Name Required.
Last Name Required.
Phone Number Required. Can't be changed once the driver is created.
Email Optional.
External Identifier Optional. Your own reference for the driver.
Date of Birth Optional.
Work Relationship Contractor or Employee. Optional.
Driver's License Optional.

Vehicle

Linked Vehicles — the vehicle(s) associated with the driver. See vehicle fields reference for what a vehicle record holds.

Driver Groups

The driver group(s) the driver is assigned to. Group membership is what makes a driver eligible to be assigned work through that group.

Capabilities

Appears for an existing driver when capabilities are in use. Shows the driver's capabilities from completed training courses, each with a status, and lets you record the package-handling requirements the driver is qualified for.

Availability

Availability is a single on/off signal — Available or Unavailable — reflecting whether the driver is currently on and able to take work. It isn't a schedule: it's normally set by the driver going on or off in the driver app, and the portal's Availability control is an override on top of that. A scheduled working window is a separate object — see shift fields & statuses reference.

No hard delete

There's no way to permanently delete a driver. Removing one from the active roster means disabling them — see set driver availability and enable or disable a driver. Disabling is reversible.
