Bulk dispatch orders
Last updated: August 16, 2026
When you have several orders ready to go, you can dispatch them together instead of one at a time. On Ready to Dispatch, select the orders you want using the row checkboxes — an actions bar appears with the bulk options.
The bulk dispatch options
The bar can show a few different ways to send orders out. They look similar, so here's what each one does:
- Dispatch — sends each selected order to a job using its own dispatch strategy. For how a strategy chooses a provider, see dispatch strategies.
- Dispatch as Batch — combines the selected orders into a single batch job. This appears when you've selected more than one order.
- Autodispatch — runs each order's dispatch strategy to pick a provider automatically. It appears when a selected order has a strategy set but no provider chosen yet.
Each of these asks you to confirm before it runs.
Planning or routing instead
Two related options on the same bar don't dispatch right away — they let you plan first:
- Optimize — work out the best plan for the selected orders before sending them. See optimize orders.
- Create Route — group the selected orders into a route. See create a route from orders.
Dispatching everything at once
If you select all matching orders rather than picking individual rows, the bulk action runs in the background. You can watch its progress on the Activities page while it works through the orders.
If you don't see an option
Which bulk options appear depends on what your organization has enabled and on the orders you've selected. If an option you expect is missing, its availability varies by org — reach out to Nash.
