Split a batched delivery

Last updated: October 28, 2026

A dispatched route runs as one batched delivery: several stops, one driver or provider. Split Batch divides it into new deliveries. Use it to spread a heavy route across more drivers, hand a group of stops to someone else, or send every stop out on its own.

Split a batch

  1. Find the batch on the Deliveries list.
  2. Choose Split Batch: - from the ⋯ menu on the batch's row (or press S with the row selected), or - from the actions in the batch's panel.
  3. Pick a Split Mode — Split All or Manual Split, described below.
  4. Choose Split Batch to apply it.

When the split finishes, Split Results lists the new deliveries it created, with each one's pickup, drop-off, provider, and package.

Split All: one delivery per stop

Split All turns every remaining stop on the batch into its own delivery. Optionally pick a Dispatch Strategy for the new deliveries; leave it empty and they use the batch's own strategy.

Manual Split: groups of stops, a driver for each

Manual Split lets you decide which stops travel together. Each group you create becomes a new delivery.

  1. Choose Add Group for each new delivery you want. Groups are labeled Route 1, Route 2, and so on.
  2. Add stops to a group. Tick them in the group's Select Stops list (hold Shift and click to select a range), enter a From stop and To stop number to add a run of stops, or pick the group for a stop in the Manage Stops table.
  3. Optionally choose a Driver Group for the group, then a driver from that group in Assign Driver. Leave both empty and the group's new delivery is dispatched with the batch's strategy.
  4. Every group needs at least one stop. A stop can only be in one group.

Stops you don't put in any group stay on the original batch.

What to know before you split

  • Completed stops stay put. Stops that are already completed or canceled aren't offered and remain on the original batch.
  • Your own fleet, or no provider yet. Split Batch is available on a batch run by your own fleet, or one that has no provider assigned. A batch that an outside provider is running can't be split.
  • One pickup. A batch with more than one pickup stop can't be split.
  • The current driver is told. If a driver is on the batch, they get a notification that it was split, and the stops you moved come off their route.
  • Each new delivery starts fresh. It's dispatched again — to the driver or driver group you picked, or through the dispatch strategy — so check each one on the Deliveries list.
